Although I am a firm believer that having a definitive favourite album is an impossible ask of a person, there are always a few that I can, in most moods, come back to time after time.

A favourite album will always be a constantly shifting choice, depending on what day you had, what you are feeling, what you are going to do, and where you are. My favourite album is not going to be the same when I'm relaxing on a sun lounger, about to have a lazy walk through some medieval French town, than when I'm sitting in my uni dorm, getting ready for a night out. Saying this, there are ones that I always come back to time and time again.

The first of them is Ten by Pearl Jam. In my opinion, the best grunge album there is, however, Nirvana's In Utero is a close second. I have always preferred classic rock and bluesy genres, which is why I love Pearl Jam's Ten; to me, it's all the energy of classic rock brought into the modern age.

An honourable mention is the first side of Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence, which contains to me what I would consider the best 6-track run on an Album aside from Ten, of course. I would also say that Lana Del Rey to me has one of the most consistent discographies. It's been 14 years since her first album, Born to Die was release and I'd wager to say that her discography has only matured like a fine wine since.
